The Classified Powershift System is a groundbreaking innovation that replaces the traditional front derailleur with a 2-speed hub gear in the rear wheel. Instead of a front double chainring, the rider shifts wirelessly between two gears inside the hub – while maintaining the full gear range of a traditional 2x drivetrain.
This means: the simplicity of a 1x setup with the range of a 2x system – without chain issues, gear overlap, or front derailleur adjustment.

How does it work?
1. Press the button – wireless handlebar control

2. The Smart Thru Axle receives the signal and transfers power
The patented electronic thru axle wirelessly receives the shift signal and sends a burst of energy to the hub within milliseconds. Thanks to contactless energy transfer, no internal battery or extra wiring is needed in the hub.
3. The hub shifts instantly between two internal gear ratios
Inside the Powershift hub is a sealed planetary gear system that shifts between direct drive (1:1) and reduction (0.7:1) – just like switching from a big to a small front chainring. Shifting happens in ~150 milliseconds, even under high pedal load.
4. The rider feels only the result: smooth shifting, always the right gear
No chain drops, no cadence disruption. Whether you're sprinting, climbing, or descending, Powershift delivers the perfect gear exactly when you need it.
The core of the system: a sealed 2-speed rear hub with planetary gearing. Internal shift between 1:1 and 0.7:1 ratios. Available in various hub widths (e.g. 142x12 mm, 148x12 mm Boost). Compatible with road, gravel, and MTB.

Wireless shift button (standard) mounts on the handlebar or in the bar-end.

Direct control via the left Di2 shifter – no extra button needed
Classified Powershift is now fully compatible with Shimano Di2 systems (R9200, R8100, and GRX Di2). With this integration, the left shifter of a Di2 2x system can be reprogrammed to operate the Powershift hub.

How does it work?
The left Di2 shifter sends a signal through the Di2 system to the Classified shift unit, which then activates the Powershift hub via the Smart Thru Axle. The entire process is completely wireless – while preserving the natural Di2 feel for the rider.
Powershift operates with a single front chainring (1x). Recommended sizes: 44T to 52T depending on terrain. Compatible with Classified’s carbon crankset or other compatible cranks.
