French. Since 1947. Still produced in its own country. Spécialités TA, fully "Traction Avant", a reference to the front-wheel drive experiments of founder Georges Navet, is one of the longest-active component manufacturers in the cycling world. The brand started in Paris with aluminium chainrings at a time when steel was the standard, and grew from there to cranksets, cassettes, bottom brackets, and accessories.
The production has always remained in France. Chainrings are CNC-machined from 7075 T6 aluminium — a material that offers a strong ratio between weight and stiffness. The range covers road, mountain bike, and gravel, with compatibility for Shimano, Campagnolo, and SRAM. From classic 5-bolt BCDs to modern asymmetric 4-bolt patterns and 1x configurations: the catalogue is broad enough to cater for both standard replacements and custom setups.
The result is a range that few manufacturers can match. While groupset manufacturers limit their chainrings to a handful of standard combinations, TA offers rings in tooth counts that simply do not exist elsewhere. From 20t inner rings to 70t outer rings, all CNC machined from the same 7075 T6 aerospace alloy, all produced in Sissonne. This material and production consistency translates into predictable quality across the entire range, regardless of discipline, regardless of crank standard.
Complete production in France since 1947. CNC milling, anodising, and quality control take place under one roof.
All chainrings are machined from aerospace-grade aluminium. Higher tensile strength and hardness than the standard 6061, with a more favourable weight-to-stiffness ratio.
Shimano, Campagnolo and SRAM, in 4-arm and 5-arm BCD patterns. TA covers more crank standards than any chainring manufacturer, including legacy formats that OEM brands have long abandoned.
Full Track chainrings with an aerodynamic profile in 144 mm BCD. Performance on par with the Miche Primato Advanced, at a significantly lower price point. Used by both amateurs and professional track cyclists.
Not only chainrings: also cranksets, bottom brackets (Axix, Xytech), bolt sets per crank reference, conversion kits, and specialised tools. One manufacturer for the complete drivetrain.
