1927
The start

In 1927, the foundation was laid for today's CODAGEX. What once started as a small business in hardware and bicycle parts, called COmptoir DAGence EXclusive, has today grown into an ambitious specialist in Race, Mountain Bike and Gravel.​

1950+
The passion

The passion for hardware was significantly smaller than for the bicycle ... and more and more attention and focus went to this part of the company. Codagex was no longer a hardware store, but became leading name in the distribution of bicycles and bicycle parts.

1970+
The growth

The interest of the general public in cycling steadily grew. Not only to passively enjoy it, but also to actively climb onto the bike yourself. Codagex was at the front of the line to bring exclusive and premium bicycles and bicycle parts to the BeNeLux.

2022

The take over

In 2022, Codagex was acquired and a new wind is blowing through the company and the team. With reinforced dynamics, the team has determined a strategy to build a close and sincere partnership with our brands and our dealers. For the dealer, with the dealer and at the dealer. #resetandgo​

2023
The industry​

The cycling industry came to an abrupt halt after the crazy growth years during Covid. 2023 turned out to be a challenging year... but at the end of the day the Codagex team was still able to achieve a moderate growth. #proud

2024
The continued growth​

​We start 2024 full of enthusiasm and with a strong team in good shape. If the enthusiasm we felt at Velofollies was genuine, then 2024 should be a more normal year in the industry again with a bit of growth (?).  #ready

Angelo, dealer development

Market knowledge, drive, humor, an always present smile and strong legs. Angelo doesn't need anything else to bring to advice and support our dealers in the South of Netherlands.

​No challenge is too much for him. Bob and his logistics team ensure that mountains are climbed and moved every day.

Bram, dealer development

This infamous BMX kid has it. Bram has a great willingness to serve our dealers in the Antwerp-Limburg-Flemish Brabant region and support them in their growth.

Christof, logistics

Race and cycling fanatic who sets and maintains the rhythm in our logistics team on a daily basis. As the perfect lead-out, he pulls our logistics sprint train to a completed order processing.

Dimitri, lead-out & ceo

​Passionate pacer and master servant of the Codagex Peloton since 2022. With a new wind and a lot of dynamism, he enthusiastically takes the lead for the Codagex team. In addition to entrepreneurship and a rich family life, he does not want to make a fool of himself in the gravel circuit in 2024! That will make you laugh! #fullgas

Edward, business development

A good dealer developer, needs a man as strong as a rock to challenge and support. Edward is the man who manages our sales team and feeds them knowledge, advice and insights from the market. In addition, he is also our internal point of contact for our dealers.

Harm, dealer development

Hard-working and collaborative partner for the bicycle specialist in the Northern Netherlands. Harm is our man in the field to connect and strengthen the joint growth ambitions of Codagex and our dealers.

Jonas, dealer development

Energetic commercial talent who has made dealer development and dealer growth in West Flanders and East Flanders a real metier.

Ludo, service management 

Both on and off the bike, Ludo enjoys helping customers, friends, acquaintances and fans. He is always there for you with his well-known smile; for service and for cycling stories.

Ludwig, dealer development

To fulfil our ambitions in Wallonia and Luxembourg, we have harnessed the potential of this powerhouse. Ludwig's mission is to put Codagex back on the map in this region by establishing strong and close partnerships with dealers in the region. This proud family man is a household name in Binche!

Rens, service management

For Rens, a bicycle no longer has any secrets ... and we have all lost count of how many bikes Rens has already built from scratch. With his expertise, we manage to solve even the biggest technical challenges for our dealers.

Tim, purchasing & product management

As a gifted cyclist and true equipment guru, Tim guarantees that Codagex always knows, analyses and tests the latest novelties and innovations in cycling.

Ursula, business intelligence

Even in the cycling world, data is essential to take big steps forward. Ursula can be seen as the Codagex Performance Manager, so to speak. She enriches the team with insights and trends from our data ... because unfortunately we don't have a crystal ball (yet).

Vera, purchasing & finance management

A legend in the cycling industry who has not only witnessed the growth in the industry but largely defined it herself over the years. Not only a legend, but also a mainstay within Codagex in Procurement; Product Management and Finance.

Wendy, administration

Administrative jack-of-all-trades who also ensures that the team can keep the focus on the core activities; namely growing brands and dealers. She also ensures that the team and our dealers do not miss out on anything at Codagex.

Wim, logistics

Cheerful personality in our warehouses with a heart of gold. He skilfully sprints through the stock every day to ensure efficient order processing. His musical taste is sometimes open for debate.
