Prologue on the cobbles of Roubaix: tested to the limit

On the relentless cobbles of Paris-Roubaix, Wout van Aert chose the Choice saddle, a deliberate decision for reliability and maximum performance under extreme conditions. As the first integrated and modular racing saddle, Choice combines aerodynamics, comfort, and optimal power transfer, even when fatigue and vibrations take their toll. Thanks to the fully integrated carbon rails, developed in close collaboration with the riders of Team Visma | Lease a Bike, Choice proved to be perfectly suited to the toughest terrain in cycling.

Prologo - Choice

Choice is designed as a fully integrated system in which the saddle, rails, and rider work together optimally. The carbon rails are seamlessly integrated into the base via lateral side wings, which not only improves aerodynamics but also increases the stiffness of the construction. Thanks to the low stack and the optimised connection between the rails and shell, energy loss is minimised and power transfer is more direct. The result is a light, responsive saddle that maintains stability and control, even on technically demanding surfaces such as the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix.

Vittoria Corsa Pro

On the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix, tyre choice plays a decisive role, and with the Vittoria Corsa Pro, the focus was on maximum control and efficiency under extreme conditions. The tyre is built around a supple cotton casing that effectively dampens vibrations and maintains continuous contact with the road surface, even on rough and unpredictable terrain. In combination with the advanced graphene compound, this results in low rolling resistance without compromising grip, durability, or puncture resistance — essential when comfort, confidence, and speed come together on the toughest roads of the season.
